AWL SUMMER CAMP 2025

Summer Camp details are as follows:

Dates: June 2nd-27th,

Times: Monday-Friday 8:30am-2:30pm

Location: The Academy of World Languages, 2030 Fairfax Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45202

Space is limited, so it's first come first serve.

Please fill out a separate form for each child.

Transportation will NOT be provided. Students must be dropped off and picked up by a trusted adult.

You may register your student for one or more weeks, depending on your needs and your student's interests.
Camp is ran in partnership with Kennedy Heights Art Center.

CAMPS FOR AGES 5-7

WEEK 1 (JUNE 2-6, 2025) : MAKE-UP MAGIC with MS. JENNAH
Discover the magic of theatre through stage makeup in this engaging course! Campers will learn basic to intermediate techniques, character design, and special effects. They’ll create makeup looks by drawing, coloring templates, and applying makeup, culminating in a portfolio of their designs and completed looks to showcase their creativity and skill.

WEEK 2 (JUNE 9-13, 2025): TRASH TO TREASURE with MS. LAURI ANN

Paper towel rolls, packing material, and old holey socks all have something in common at this camp: they can be made into beautiful works of art! Younger campers will have an opportunity to make a castle, a robot or some other treasure from their imagination.

WEEK 3 (JUNE 16-20*, 2025): FOUND OBJECT SCULPTURES with MS. GEORGIA

*Camp is closed on June 19th, 2025 in observation of Juneteenth

Students will unleash their creativity by using recycled and found materials to craft unique 3D sculptures. Throughout the week, they'll explore different techniques for transforming everyday items into imaginative works of art. At the end of the camp, their creations will be showcased in a special Friday exhibition, celebrating their innovative designs and sustainable artistry.

WEEK 4 (JUNE 23-27, 2025): THE PERFECT PRINT with MS. ANISHA

Kids will create various prints such as batik/resist painting, block printing, screen printing,

cave paintings, and fruit stamps making abstract pieces. Most importantly, students will learn the use of multi-media print art projects and think outside the box to understand that creating art is more than just drawing and coloring.

CAMPS FOR AGES 8-10

WEEK 2 (JUNE 9-13, 2025): FANTASY ART with MS. SHARAREH

Bring your imagination to life in this fantasy-inspired art class! Campers will explore magical worlds, from castles and dragons to mythical creatures, while creating both 2D and 3D artworks. Whether through drawing, painting, or sculpting, they’ll bring their fantastical visions to life!

CAMPS FOR AGES 9-12

WEEK 1 (JUNE 2-6, 2025): PROJECT RUNWAY with MS. ROBIN
A summer favorite! Campers will transform recycled clothing into one-of-a-kind fashion pieces while learning sewing machine skills, patternmaking, and hand sewing. The week will end with a runway fashion show to showcase their creations!

*Camp is closed on June 19th, 2025 in observation of Juneteenth

Shakespeare can be tackled at an early age, and with a few small tools and tips, the rhythm comes to life. “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” is an accessible play of Shakespeare’s with a fun fairy battle that’s a joy to share with families and friends.
