Cr8 Club is a free, 5-day/week after-school program for students in grades K-6 provided by the Kennedy Heights Arts Center on-site at The Academy of World Languages.
Students will explore dance, music, theatre, visual arts, creative writing, and social-emotional wellness. Students who enroll in Cr8 Club should have a general interest in the arts and creativity, but no prior artistic experience is necessary. Cr8 Club is about having fun and expressing yourself! 

A day in cr8 club

What does a day in Cr8 Club look like?

Students in Cr8 Club will rotate activities throughout the week. Each age group will visit all of the art forms, which include: Visual Art, Theatre, Dance, Music, Horticulture, SEL, and Literacy.

Here is an example Monday through Thursday schedule for your reference:

2:30 - Arrival and Snack
2:45 - Outdoor Recess
3:05 - Activity 1 (1 hour)
4:05 - Activity 2 (1 hour)
5:05 to 5:30 - Dismissal

"Activity 1" and "Activity 2" will be a combination of the previously listed art forms, depending on the day. 

On FRIDAYS, students will experience "Fun Fridays" which are fun and engaging experiences for students to explore different cultures, workshop various art forms, and gain knowledge on all kinds of local organizations and artists that the Greater Cincinnati Area has to offer.
Pick up on Fridays is between 4 and 4:30pm.

WordPlay Cincy creates spaces for young people to fulfill their potential by discovering, honoring and sharing their voices. Word Play infuses reading, writing and storytelling with the visual and performing arts. We partner with Word Play as part of our dedication to district literacy goals. 

The Well's mission is to improve the mental and emotional well-being, connectedness, and effectiveness of all persons through arts integration, mindfulness, music, movement, and healing-centered practices.

Students will engage with The Well through a social-emotional curriculum that encourages students to better understand themselves and others. 

Revolution Dance Theatre provides our top-notch dance instructors. RDT is a professional dance company that has created theatre and dance opportunities for African Americans. Intent on inclusion, they provide concerts, classes, and community engagement activities that inspire equitable change, not only for the dance industry, but for the world.


Kennedy Heights Art Center connects with incredibly talented and knowledgeable local artists who come to AWL to provide exceptional fine arts education experiences.
